Glastonbury Offers Convenient Tax Payment Options for Residents

Glastonbury’s Revenue Collection Division (Tax office) offers a variety of secure and convenient methods for paying your current Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicle tax bills and Sewer Use bills.  Choose the payment method that best suits your preference and lifestyle including:

Pay Taxes Online

Submit your tax payment any time using the Town’s online system.  Visit www.glastonbury-ct.gov/taxpmt to pay your bill, view your balance, and more.  For all Tax bills, a $0.95 fee will apply to ACH payments (electronic checks) and a 2.95% service fee will apply to credit/debit card payments.  Sewer Use Payments made by credit/debit card will incur a $7.95 minimum service fee, not to exceed $400 per transaction, or a $0.95 service fee for ACH payments.

Pay Taxes On the Road

Residents may deposit check payments only (cash not accepted) using one of  two drop boxes located at Town Hall.  The stand alone drop box is located on the left-hand side of the Town Hall driveway, past the flagpoles.  The other drop box is built into the exterior wall of Town Hall, to the right of the main entrance.  Payments are collected Monday – Friday for processing.

Pay By Mail

All current Tax payments should be mailed to the following address:

Town of Glastonbury
Revenue Collector
PO Box 376
Glastonbury CT 06033-0376

All other tax-related correspondence should be sent to the Town of Glastonbury, Revenue Collection, PO Box 6523, Glastonbury, CT 06033-6523.  Please do NOT mail payments to the previous (Stamford) address for any reason, as this will result in the mail being returned to you and may result in late fees/interest charges.

Pay In-Person

People’s United Bank Branches:  Current on-time tax payments are accepted in July and January at all People's United Bank branches.  Current on-time sewer use payments are accepted in November.  Original bills must accompany payment.  Any bills without a "Back Tax" message on it may be paid by cash or check at the bank.  A receipt will be provided and your payment will be posted to your account in the Revenue Collector's office the next business day.  You don't have to be a People's United Bank customer to use this option.

For questions regarding tax payments, please contact the Glastonbury Revenue Collection office directly at (860) 652-7614.
