Patrol Division

Lieutenant Kevin Troy

The Patrol Division is the backbone of the Glastonbury Police Department. The Patrol Division is the largest component of the police department and is under the Command of the two Patrol Division Lieutenants.

In addition to responding to 911 calls and other requests for service, Patrol Officers are expected to proactively engage in directed patrols and other problem solving activities. They are encouraged to work in partnership with members of our community in seeking out and resolving problems in order to enhance our quality of life.

Requests to hire Police Officers for special events, such as traffic control or private functions, are also handled by the Patrol Division. Persons wishing to hire an Officer must first complete the "Request and Agreement for Purchase of Police Services" form. The form can be accessed in the Forms section under this site. It must be filled in, printed out, and then faxed to the police department at 860-652-4290. Routine questions concerning the hiring of officers may be directed to the Patrol Division Lieutenants. Questions or the hiring of an Officer that requires immediate attention can be directed to the routine number of the police department, 860-633-8301. You will be connected to a Supervisor who can assist you.
