Keith BerrySummer 2019 marks Music and Arts Camp’s 42nd season. Experiences this good tend to be long-lasting and we are looking forward to another season of igniting young imaginations! The Glastonbury Parks & Recreation Department’s annual summer camp is unique, fun, and offers an unmatched variety of stimulating, joyful, educational classes. For parents, it is the high-level arts experience that Glastonbury families have enjoyed for the past 41 years.

What’s new in 2019?.... Location, location, location! We will be housed at Hebron Avenue School this summer. We will offer the same great range of class offerings with a few adaptations because of our new space. Camp is always fun and exciting regardless of our location.

We want our campers to enjoy a range of arts experiences this summer so please schedule them for a variety of classes. Read the detailed descriptions to understand which classes have been designed for your child. Third graders have many different options. Children entering grades 4-9 who also play an instrument should be scheduled for a performing ensemble and often add a music lesson. Visual artists have a fantastic selection of classes, too.

Online registration will be available through the camp website. Please read the online registration directions carefully before beginning your registration process.

When you look at our 2019 course offerings you’ll see many of the same popular classes that kids have loved for years. Some of our new classes include "Stop Motion Studio" , "Jazz Improvisation",  "Audition Techniques", "Broadway Choreography" and "World Games" may be just right for both new and returning campers.

Many families enjoy the popular Extended Day program that will continue in the summer of 2019, campers will not need to be picked up until 4 PM. This extended day program, structured like a traditional day camp, will immediately follow Music & Arts Camp. Campers are divided by age with "Camp After Camp" for children entering grades 3-5 in the fall and our 'Teen Scene' camp designed for those entering grades 6-9 that will feature swimming and many fun trips.

All of us at Music & Arts Camp look forward to the beginning of every camp season. Music and Arts Camp is great!
