Community Outreach Officer, Michael Magrey Named 2019 Police Officer of the Year

Community Outreach Officer, Michael Magrey, was named 2019 Police Officer of the Year by the Exchange Club of Glastonbury.  A recognition program will be held on February 6th at the Gallery at 141 New London Turnpike.  Officer Magrey has been extremely active in the community since joining the Town of Glastonbury Police Department in 2016, providing public safety education, hosting car seat inspection clinics and self-defense classes, and writing informative and valuable safety columns in the Glastonbury Citizen.  He has also organized and spearheaded a number of charitable programs and events including the successful No Shave November campaign, Special Olympics Torch Run, and holiday toy drives. 

Doors will open at 6:00 pm for a cocktail hour and ceremony/dinner will begin at 7:00 pm.  To purchase tickets for the recognition event, please contact the Glastonbury Exchange Club or call Captain Mark Catania at (860) 652-4251.
