The State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) recently passed a law requiring retail establishments to charge a $0.10 fee for every single-use plastic bag they issue their customers at the point of sale.  In June of 2019, the Town of Glastonbury also passed an ordinance regarding single-use bags.  For community reference, the Town has put together an Informational Guide designed to help residents and businesses understand the regulations and differences between both the Single-use Plastic Bag Town Ordinance and the state of Connecticut mandated fee.
