The Glastonbury Alcohol and Drug Council (GLAD) has been in existence since 1988. GLAD was developed and is composed of members from Glastonbury Youth and Family Services, East of the River Action for Substance Abuse Elimination(ERASE), Governor’s Prevention Partnership, Glastonbury Police Department, Glastonbury Parks and Recreation, school personnel, faith communities, prevention specialists, business owners, youth, parents and additional community members.
Underage drinking is a problem in Glastonbury and one that needs to be addressed in a variety of ways. The Glastonbury Alcohol and Drug Council (GLAD) has recognized the risks of underage drinking for many years and has worked together as a group of dedicated community members to address the issue. GLAD is committed to reducing underage drinking and the tragedies that it causes.
