EMERGENCY HOMEOWNER ELECTRICAL REPAIR UPDATE

As power is restored to your street, and your service entrance cable is damaged by trees/limbs, it is your responsibility to have a licensed electrician repair the damage before CL&P will re-energize your home. It is the customer’s responsibility to hire a tree service to remove any damaged trees that interfere with service drop.

ELECTRIC SERVICE RECONNECT NOTICE:

If your electric meter or electric cable attached to your home has been damaged, you willneed to contact a licensed electrician to make the necessary repairs.  When completed, please call the Building Dept. 860-652-7521 to schedule an inspection - Information Required:

Name, Address, Name of Electrician and License #

Our Services

The Building Inspection/Zoning Enforcement Division is responsible for the review and issuance of permits for all types of construction including structural, electrical, heating and plumbing. Inspection services are provided throughout construction up to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. Building and Zoning complaints are investigated and cease and desist orders issued if necessary. The Division also conducts joint code inspections with the Fire Marshal Division and manages the activities of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
