Assessment Appeal Information

The Board of Assessment Appeals consists of five elected members, each serving a four year term.  Elected members may also be re-elected for successive terms.  Additionally, two members may be appointed by the Town Council, one per political party, as deemed necessary.


The Board of Assessment Appeals meets twice annually, in March to hear appeals for all categories of assessed property, and in September to hear appeals for motor vehicles only.  Appeal hearings are by appointment, and an application is required.

Applications will be available here in August, 2018 for the September motor vehicle hearings.
