Keith BerryPlease have your children join us for Music and Arts Camp’s 41st season. We are looking forward to delivering high quality experiences. The Glastonbury Parks & Recreation Department’s annual summer camp is unique, fun, and offers an unmatched variety of stimulating, joyful, educational classes. For parents, it is the high-level arts experience that Glastonbury families have enjoyed for the past 40 years.

What’s new in 2018? Well, we are great listeners and we’ve put together some exciting new classes based on feedback from parents, faculty, and campers. Check out “Origami Zoo”, “Piano Ensemble”, “Street Theater”, “Puppets,Masks, & Performing Objects”, “Fun with Fabric, Felt, & More”, “Ink-Paper-Print”, and “Felt Masks & ?” in addition to some of our long-running favorites.

We want our campers to enjoy a range of arts experiences this summer so please schedule them for a variety of classes. Read the detailed descriptions to understand which classes have been designed for your child. Third graders have many different options. Children entering grades 4 - 9 who also play an instrument should be scheduled for a performing ensemble and often add lessons and music theory, which is offered in our Song & Music writing class this year.

Online registration will be available through the camp website. Please read the online registration directions carefully before beginning your registration process.

When you look at our 2018 course offerings you’ll see many of the same popular classes that kids have loved for years. As mentioned above, some of our new classes may be just right for both new and returning campers.

Many families enjoy the popular Extended Day program that will continue in the summer of 2018, campers will not need to be picked up until 4 PM. This extended day program, structured like a traditional day camp, will immediately follow Music & Arts Camp. Campers are divided by age with "Camp After Camp" for children entering grades 3-5 in the fall and our 'Teen Scene' camp designed for those entering grades 6-9 that will feature swimming and many fun trips.

All of us at Music & Arts Camp look forward to the beginning of every camp season. Music and Arts Camp is great!
