Senior and Social Services strives to provide Glastonbury residents with various opportunities to meet their nutritional needs. Social workers are available to assist persons who are experiencing difficult times by operating a Food Bank, providing families with food for Thanksgiving and the December holidays, and assisting with Food Stamp applications.
A luncheon program is offered through the Senior Center Monday through Friday, with a full meal cooked on site. The Riverfront Community Center also has a Café open to anyone, which offers a la carte food and daily specials at a very reasonable price, Monday through Friday.

Holiday Food Programs
At Thanksgiving and the December Holiday time, Social Services provides food and/or grocery store gift cards to help families experiencing difficult financial times to provide a special holiday meal. Donations from individuals, groups and businesses provide the food and funds to make this possible.
