Glastonbury Hosting Public Workshops Re: Indoor Aquatic Facility

Seeking Community Input at 3 Public Workshops

The Town of Glastonbury is seeking input from community members for the feasibility of building an indoor aquatic facility.  The Town has retained the services of Moser Pilon Nelson Architects to evaluate alternatives and develop concepts for a municipal indoor aquatic facility with related improvements.  At each workshop, stakeholders will have an opportunity to have an active part in the workshop and be able to speak and give valuable input. 

Three public workshops have been set on the following dates and locations, with different agendas to be discussed at each.

#1: December Workshop:

Thursday, December 6th, 2018
6:30-8:30 p.m.
Town Council Chambers (2nd floor of Town Hall, 2155 Main Street, Glastonbury, CT)

The focus of this workshop will be for Moser Pilon Nelson and design team to give an overview of the project, which will include a short history, overview of the process, and to define timelines and milestones. The public will be encouraged to give input.

#2: January Workshop:

Monday, January 14th, 2019
6:30-8:30 p.m.
Town Council Chambers (2nd floor of Town Hall, 2155 Main Street, Glastonbury, CT)

The focus of this workshop will be to review conceptual designs, and to seek public comment.

#3: February Workshop:

Thursday, February 14th, 2019
6:30-8:30 p.m.
Riverfront Community Center, 300 Welles Street, Glastonbury, CT

The focus on this third and final public workshop will be to review revised conceptual designs which would include construction and operational costs, and to seek public comment.
