Glastonbury’s Revenue Collection Division (Tax office) offers a variety of secure and convenient methods for paying your current Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicle, and Sewer Use tax bills.  Choose the payment method that best suits your preference and lifestyle including:

Online: Submit your tax payment any time using the Town’s online system.  Visit www.glastonbury-ct.gov/taxpmt to pay your bill, view your balance, and more.  For all Tax bills, a $0.95 fee will apply to ACH payments (electronic checks) and a 2.95% service fee will apply to credit/debit card payments.  Sewer Use Payments made by credit/debit card will incur a $7.95 minimum service fee, not to exceed $400 per transaction, or a $0.95 service fee for ACH payments.

On the Road: Residents may deposit check payments only (cash not accepted) using the Drop Box located on the left hand side of the Town Hall driveway, situated past the flag poles.  Please note, as part of the Town Hall renovations project, the Drop Box will be relocated at a date yet to be determined, but after the current billing period which ends August 1st.  Payments are collected Monday – Friday for processing.

By Mail: All current Tax payments should be mailed to the following address:

Town of Glastonbury
Revenue Collector
PO Box 376
Glastonbury CT 06033-0376.

All other tax-related correspondence should be sent to the Town of Glastonbury, Revenue Collection, PO Box 6523, Glastonbury, CT 06033-6523.  Please do NOT mail payments to the previous (Stamford) address for any reason, as this will result in the mail being returned to you and may result in late fees/interest charges.

In-Person: Glastonbury offers two ways to pay in-person.

  1. People’s United Bank Branches: Glastonbury’s Revenue Collection office has partnered with People’s United Bank to process current Real Estate, Personal Property, and Motor Vehicle taxes, as well as Sewer Use payments.  Any tax bill without a “Back Tax” message on it may be presented to the bank teller of any People’s United Bank branch countrywide, for payment by cash or check.  This includes the two branches located within the Glastonbury Stop & Shop stores on Glastonbury Boulevard and Oak Street.  A receipt will be provided and your payment will be posted to your account in the Revenue Collection office the next business day.
  2. Revenue Collection Office (lower level of Town Hall): The Revenue Collection office is open to accept in-person payments of cash or check Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

For questions regarding tax payments, please contact the Glastonbury Revenue Collection office directly at (860) 652-7614.
