Latest Storm Update: Eversource on schedule for restoration by noon today
As of roughly 8am this morning, Eversource has reported that all priority blocked roads have been cleared and there are no critical facilities left without power. Currently, 128 Glastonbury customers are still out, and the multiple outage areas include Hampshire Dr/Courtney Crcl (53); Dug Rd (10); Wood Pond (9); Chimney Sweep (7). All others are small area/single outages which could go beyond the global restoration time given (12pm today). Their Estimated Town Restoration Time for substantial restoration is still Noon today, 11/2. You can check the status of your outage by visiting eversource.com and clicking on the "Report/Check Outages" button. We will continue to keep the community apprised as we receive updates.
In response to this storm, the Town has established a new "eNotification" category to help get the word out to our community regarding storm related news. Please visit www.glastonbury-ct.gov/enotify and click "Change eNotification preferences". Enter your subscribing email address and click the "Change my Preferences" button. You'll receive an email with a link to change your preferences. (Sender will be "Glastonbury, CT Webmaster) Open the email and click the link that says "Please click the link below to change your eNotification preferences." You'll be directed to a web page containing all possible eNotification categories. Scroll down under the News heading and click the mail icon next to "Storm Updates." The envelope icon will have a yellow star once selected. (See screenshot below). At this time you can also select any other categories that you'd like to receive updates on. (We recommend all residents subscribe to the following categories as well - Roundabout Construction, Roadwork/Construction, Tax & Sewer Bill Notifications, Hazard Alert, and Dog License Notifications for residents with furry friends). Once you've made all selections, enter the code in the field at the bottom and click "Submit". You will then receive automatic emails any time the town posts news on to our website regarding storms that affect our community. If you have any questions, please contact Kathryn Paquette at email@example.com.
