Roundabout Anticipated Open Date is Friday, Oct. 6th
Road closures continue this week
The roundabout construction is nearly complete! Road paving operations within the Hebron Ave./New London Tpke. roundabout project limits will commence on Thursday October 5th, weather permitting. Operations during normal daytime work hours will be confined to work zone areas that are currently closed to traffic.
Important Dates & Road Closures:
- Starting at 7:00PM on October 5th, and continuing until about 1:00AM on October 6th, the entire Hebron Ave./New London Tpke. intersection will be CLOSED to thru-traffic. Detours will be posted as applicable. Work will consist of night paving and top course asphalt placement within the project limits on ALL road approaches.
- Friday, October 6th, the roundabout is slated to be OPEN and operational. Subsequent finish work, such as center and splitter island landscaping, may require intermittent detours and closures of short duration, but will not have any major prolonged impact on traffic flow.
As always, businesses will be open and accessible during this period. The Town appreciates the patience demonstrated by merchants and the traveling public during this difficult construction period. We will continue to publish updates as they become available.
